FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much do your graphic design services cost?

To put it simply, I charge $20 per hour. However, if it takes me longer than it should to complete your project, I will not charge you for the time I lost. The more intricate your ideas, the longer it will take me to complete. If your project takes less than an hour to complete (very unlikely), you will still be charged the full $20.

All clients are responsible for a 50% deposit before I can begin your project. The other 50% is due upon approval of design.

Send me an email with your ideas, budget, and deadline and I can get you a free quote. Please remember that sometimes quotes are set too high or too low compared to the final cost of the project.

Why do I have to pay upfront?

As I mentioned before, this is my second source of income. This is part of my livelihood. This income helps take care of my family. I have spent too many hours working on projects for people who have received their files and never paid me for my work. It’s nothing against anyone, I’m just too busy to waste my time on people who do not pay for the services I was hired to do.

What kinds of things do you accept as commissions?

I accept all types of graphics including logos, social media graphics such as headers and profile photos, business cards, marketing materials such as flyers and posters, (sometimes) portraits, tattoo designs, and so much more. I will never take on projects I do not feel I could confidently produce. In other words, I’m not going to waste your time or money on something I wouldn’t be able to complete.

Why did it take so long for you to finish my project?

Graphic design isn’t as easy as it looks. You can’t just wave a magic wand and have your commission completed. There are many steps in the graphic design process before we get that final piece - 6 of them to be exact. Briefing. Researching. Brainstorming. Sketching. Building. Presenting. Then delivering and sharing.

I will first discuss with you your ideas and expectations of your project. Then I will ask questions to get a better feel of your band, business, brand, etc., before I come up with any mockups. When I complete the mockups, I will send them to you to see if I’m on the right track. When we finish discussing changes and other ideas, that’s when I can come up with a rough draft version. Again, I will send it to you to gather your feedback. As soon as the design has been approved, I will send over an invoice via PayPal with a description of cost and time spent on the project for you to pay. When your invoice is paid in full, you will receive all of your files via the email address you provided. You will also receive one free edit or touch up per project.

I will always work as efficiently as possible to get you the best price and fastest delivery of your files.

Can you design a tattoo/band logo for me?

As mentioned before, I can definitely do that. If I am accepting commissions, there will be a notification on the home page of my website. If this is the case, send me an email or a message and we can discuss budget and deadline. If I am not accepting commissions, depending on the project, I still may be able to take it on. Again, just send me a message and we can discuss your ideas. Please keep in mind that I am a very busy person so I may not be able to work on your design for you right away.

Can I get one of your designs tattooed on me?

I do allow my work to be tattooed, however I request a $50 commission fee in advance. Please contact me BEFORE scheduling an appointment to obtain full permission.

Why are your stickers so expensive?

My stickers are so “expensive” because each design takes me a long time to create. I pour my heart and soul into every single design I make and all of my stickers are unique. They are stickers that you cannot find anywhere else. I like that. For me, this is my second income and that is how I take care of my family. I won’t sell myself short. Oh, and it costs quite a bit of money to actually print stickers so I have to at least make my money back, right?

WILL YOUR STICKERS STAY ON MY CAR?

Great question! My stickers are printed on thick, durable vinyl that protects your stickers from scratches, water, and sunlight. In other words, yes.

> For what it’s worth I put one on my coffee mug when I bought it nearly a year ago. That mug gets used every single day and I wash right over it but it still shows no signs of damage or wear and it’s still just as perfect as it was when I first put it on. <

How long will it take to receive my order?

For sticker orders, I usually have some in stock and will ship the very next day. You will receive your stickers within 3 to 5 business days depending on where you live. If I do not have any in stock (I will announce that the stickers are pre-orders), expect your order to arrive within 14 business days.

If you ordered prints, they are usually not in stock and are made to order. Expect those to arrive within 14 business days (but it’s usually a lot quicker than that).

What happens if I never got my package?

Wow, this is embarrassing. For whatever reason it was that you have not received your package, just send me a message or an email and we will get it all sorted out. I am sorry in advance if this does happen.

Why don’t you take pictures anymore?

I don’t really have an answer to this. I thought being a photographer was what I wanted to do with my life, but as I got older, I felt a stronger connection to graphic design. It’s not that I don’t take pictures anymore, I just haven’t had the time or inspiration to get out and shoot. While I still take photos occasionally, I do not offer photographic services at the present time. I’m sorry in advance.

I want to support you but I’m broke. how can I help?

Ah, I’m glad you asked! You don’t need money to support artists! There are tons of things you could do to help:

  • Share and interact with my posts on social media

  • Write reviews of my products if you’ve ever tried them

  • Refer me to your friends looking for design services

  • Spread my business cards around your area

  • Provide honest feedback about your commission experience
